I’m fascinated with caves. These days high quality rocks and cliffs are the norm in games, but that doesn’t mean they are easy to make. I have a lot of respect for the developers in AAA studios that this is basically all they do. Sometimes the best way is to scan real rocks. I made this cave a while ago with procedural noise maps. I moved the project over to Unreal 5, and it makes me really appreciate Lumen. All lighting is real time, and you can see lumen lighting from the emissive of the crystals in the bottom pictures.
